The Great Reset

In the last week of January I watched and read and listened to a new Economy… and I visualised it!

It was the week of the World Economic Forum, in Davos, but now Online! It was the week of The Pakhuis De Zwijger, with the wellbeing presentation. It was the week of the publishers, De Correspondent, with Jelmer Mommers’ article and Time Magazine, with Ciara Nugent’s article. And I wacthed the presentation of the book ‘Fantoom Groei’ (Sander Heijne).

I love this shift to a more humane and climate friendly approach. I studied Economics in the 80-ties, beginning 90-ties and, for the first time in my life, I wished I was born ‘later’. Now Economics is much more seen as how it should be (I think), not just as a quantitive & financial science, but as a ‘social’ science.

The Davos theme “The Great Reset” is representing a commitment to jointly and urgently build the foundations of the global economic and social system for a more fair, sustainable and resilient future.
